We enjoyed our stay at Vila Garden Guesthouse very much. The staff is very helpful, patient and kind. The room was perfect! We booked the suite; a very large and beautiful room with a very large balcony (with sun in the morning from approx. 9AM until 1PM / in November). The bathroom was also very nice and huge! There was a large whirlpool as well as a nice shower! If you want, the housekeeping will clean your room everyday. For us, a few times in the week we stayed, was enough. You can hang up a sign "please clean my room" or "Do not disturb". The bed was also good; not too soft and not too hard. It was also nice that there is a communal kitchen for all the guests. There is a big fridge, freezer and even a dishwasher. And also a lot of plates, cups, glasses, cutlery etc... There is also a toaster, so we could make ourselves breakfast and enjoyed our own made breakfast at our balcony. If you have a question you will get a friendly and quick response, even via whatsapp (question about what to visit in Sintra for example...) If we will visit Lisbon again, we will stay at Vila Garden Guesthouse again! And don't forget to try the bakery 'a padaria portugesa' nearby. The brownies are the best ever! There are several shops of 'a padaria portugesa' in Lisbon.

The staff were the friendliest and most helpful that we experienced in our whole trip. Special touches, like pastries put in our room. They had a gorgeous garden which we spent quite a bit of time enjoying. There was a shared kitchen for guests. It was completely. equipped with spices etc. we walked to everything in about 25 minutes and it was also close to the airport. We had just had trouble with Ryanair air charging us $110 euroes because we couldn't figure out how to check in on our phone. It took them only 20 seconds to print us our boarding passes and they were so rude. So it was just so refreshing to be treated so nicely and arrive at such a beautiful place. Thanks to the staff, you really helped us enjoy our last couple days in spite of how we felt arriving from that awful flight.

Staff were excellent, friendly efficient etc, it was self service check in because we arrived after 12.30, they kept us informed via whataspp all the way, emails are outdated you can respond instantly to whataspp messages and you know they have opened them when the ticks go blue. The taxi driver had a little trouble finding the place and we were able to give him a number which he rang and was promptly answered, entry code was spot on and directions left on the door of reception, we understood the directions were in reception and this door was locked so saying they were on a holder in the door might be usefull, but overall first class all the way, highly recommend

This place was a great choice for our vacation and visit to Lisbon! Wonderful, peaceful, clean with friendly and helpful staff! You can be sure that they think of every little thing that you might need: from instructions on how to get to accommodation, a city map, recommendations for what to visit, where to eat,...we also used the kitchen, although in the room you have everything you need to prepare tea or coffee, and in standby is drink, juice, water, snacks that you can find in the refrigerator in the room and that are paid symbolically. I recommend this place to everyone!

When I made my reservation a couple of months in advance I requested a quiet room not on the street side. They had listened and put me on the third floor overlooking the garden. My room had a terrace so I could easily keep the terrace doors cracked for continual fresh air. I couldn’t have had a better room! The staff were very accommodating and offered to bring my luggage up/ down the stairs for me. They also kept my luggage for the time beaten checkout and when I had to catch my plane. This was great, as I had more time to explore the city.
